EDUCATION
Education is at the heart of what we do as an organization. As UKR we recognize education to be the crucial vehicle for social equity, inclusion, and sustainable development. Through education, we aim to give students an opportunity to explore their academic potential so as to realize and achieve their goals, objectives, and ambitions and have a brighter future in the long run.
We support students with scholastic materials, school fees, and upkeep money among other school requirements right from primary school to high school through to tertiary institutions.
High school scholarship program
This program has enabled us to support students who are in high school upon completion of their primary school. Students are supported with school fees, school levies, and pocket money among other school requirements throughout their four years in high school.
Our education officers also conduct school visits to discuss academic progress with the assistance of their teachers. We organize retreats where students are offered mentorship and life skills training on self-motivation, sexual health, and career guidance.
The support helps them have a smooth flow of their academics and realize their academic potential as they transition to the next step of their academic journey.
Tvet Program
Through the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program, students who did not get direct entry into the university are empowered with technical skills and knowledge that will equip them with handy skills to propel them in the job market. The program gives students a chance to shape their future and realize their dreams.
University and colleges scholarship
This program supports students in our program who have earned direct placement into universities in Kenya to pursue courses of their choice. It aims to give students an opportunity to further their academic ambitions as they look forward to being absorbed in the job market after successfully completing their courses.
Students receive support in school fees, upkeep money, and other requirements. This support helps make lives in the university comfortable and they can go about their daily academic schedule with ease.
