Families in our program that practice small fish farming benefited from a one-day fish farmers training organized by UKR. Jonathan Anyona, a Fisheries Officer took the farmers through management practices in fish farming including setting up of fish ponds, factors to consider in fish farming, ways to improve fish farming, and feeding.
The farmers were encouraged to adopt flying fish ponds to better their fish farming experiences. The farmers also raise questions and concerns that they have come across in the course of their fish farming which were responded to accordingly by the Fisheries Officer.
The farmers applauded the training stating that it will take them a step further and help them build a strong fish farming venture.
