United Kenya Rising (UKR) officially launched its new headquarters in Amalemba Scheme, Kakamega. Located next to Cate Apartments, the new building will enable UKR to expand its presence and enhance the capacity to serve communities more effectively.
The new office launch event, held on 23rd January 2025, was a colorful celebration attended by UKR’s board, members of staff and its associates. The gathering highlighted the spirit of togetherness and a shared vision, which have always been at the heart of UKR’s initiatives.
Nelson Ida, UKR’s CEO, described the occasion as “a new dawn,” symbolizing growth, continuity, and the promise of further expanding impactful programs. In his address, he emphasized the significance of the new headquarters as a place for driving UKR’s mission of helping needy students and their families to rise above poverty.
Margaret Bolenge, chair of the UKR board, echoed this sentiments, emphasizing on the organization’s commitment to advancing the noble mission of supporting vulnerable families and communities.
The new headquarters will continue serving as a place for planning, collaboration, and community engagements, ensuring that UKR remains at the forefront of initiatives aimed at positively impacting lives in western Kenya.
