Lilian Kisienya
Lilian Kisienya is the head of the social work department. She is a social worker and has been key in leading the social work department in the implementation of the Family Care Model approach that UKR adopted in 2019. She holds a Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Maseno University, as well as a Certificate in Personnel Management from the University of Nairobi, and a Diploma in Community Development from Xtreem Institute of Business Information and Technology. Previously, she worked as a social worker at Victory Children’s Home in Kisumu, Kenya, where she supported families in the area of economic strengthening and also in accessing support services from other agencies. Before that, she worked as a Child Protection Officer for Kisumu Central Sub-County Children’s Department in implementation of Care Reforms, and has worked in victim support and children’s rights advocacy for the Department of Children’s Services in Kajiado County outside of Nairobi. She has also worked for HOPEWORLD Kenya and the Priscilla and Angelica Chalk Foundation.
